The 5 bars are graduated 60 - 140 with 100 in the middle.
Yes I always have 3 bars (100 degrees) once warm,
4 (120 degrees) on track or very spirited use, haven't actually hit 5 bars (140 degrees ) in its current incarnation since I don't have to use 2nd gear much now
..but used to when it was standard on a hot track day.

I was suprised that 5 hrs high speed cross Europe motorway driving used much more oil than a trackday!
Actually though my question was aimed at Oilman.
Given the standard GTA running temperature is 100 degrees for normal driving are you saying that this is too low a temperature to use 10W-60?
BTW It is the only oil spec listed in the GTA manuals fluid specifications section.
AFAIK most Alfa dealers are too lazy to source the right oil in any case, I have to supply my own.
