Smart Alfa Sales....

I cannot understand why some people are giving Smart Alfa a bad name.

I went to Smart Alfa at Edlesborough on the 11th of April after having test driven the Brera 2.4 Diesel at SGT...in Maidenhead. The sales people there were putting a lot of pressure on me to put an order for the car within 24 hrs, as they said the waiting list was quite long...

There I met with Ned Kirkham who showed me the Alfa GT 1.9 JTD. It took me half an hour to make up my mind and buy the Alfa GT at a very good price... I part exchanged my Alfa 147 1.6 TSpark Lusso at a reasonable price too. No pressure was put on me to buy the new car by Ned...I told him that I would take delivery of the car on the 28th of April as I was going on a skiing holiday from the 18 to 25th of April.

I paid for the car on the 18th of April...I took delivery of the car on the 28th of April as agreed and up to now I am very satisfied with the my purchase. I have saved thousand of pounds and will in future use Smart Alfa services again for the purchase of an Alfa car..

A satisfied customer....Well done Smart Alfa...

Smart Alfa is responsible for that themselves and they know that. There are several horror stories you can find on this Alfa forum and on other Alfa fora as well. I don't want to get into details.

If you are a satisfied customer of SA I am very happy for you.

With respect you only have to search the forum to see why some people are disatisfied with Smart Alfa, one of the reasons being the Smart Alfa you dealt with is a pheonix company.

If you are a genuine SA customer then I'm glad you had no problems with them - obviously the 'risk' of anything going wrong with your purchase seems to have been reduced by apparently buying a car they had in stock - rather then ordering one to your own precise specification.

Although, like Wrinx, I find your post a little curious, and do wonder why the forums had a few post's recently mentioning 'Ned'. However, I also think that when a company performs well people should mention it just as much as when one performs poorly - that way people can make up their own minds.

Of course, I'm sure you'd agree it wouldn't be very good if SA were getting their employees to post on this forum - pretending to be satisfied customers.

Quite simply, it's because some people have been given terrible service by them.
Always good to hear of someone who has been treated well though.
As they say, for every 100 satisfied customers, 1 will tell people about their experience, while every 1 dis-satisfied customer will tell 100 people.

Re: Smart Alfa Sales....

As with the Big Man post, if you look at this users profile there is no additional information about them...that immediately rings alarm bells. Then, as Kevin mentioned, they keep on talking about 'Ned', obviously trying to give the impression that its a really friendly service. Now, why would you want to get on first name terms with a person you've only just met, you're about to give lots of money too, and who you might later have cause to complain to!? Still, I note they've avoided using the term 'in fact'!!
