Hello thought I would say hi to the fellow Alfisti!

I'm picking up my new GT this afternoon....now I know you are wondering why I'm going from a 3.2 V6 GTA to a 1.9JTD coupe but at 37 I think I'm getting old...I just need softer ride and more comfort!!!

Plus I am sick of Saxo VTR's etc pulling alongside and trying to race me. Also I am starting to do alot more mileage and as it is petrol has gone up 10p a litre, almost in the last 6 months.

Anyway hello!

Romano

Hi Romano and welcome to AO

37 is nowhere near old enough to be contemplating pipe and slippers But you've chosen a great car Don't forget to post some pictures.

And I hate to disappoint you, but those chavs in their Saxos are still gonna try and burn you off - I speak from experience

Hi Romano & welcome to AO.

I'm 59 this year and I still like my cars to be stiff & quick.
Right now I wouldn't swap my GTA for anything

Re: New member

Guys,

I would really like to keep my GTA as a 2nd car because the miles that I am doing are costing me too much at the moment hence the change to JTD but can't afford two cars at the moment! :-(

However I am smiling at the thought of my GT, bigger car and I found one with Connect Nav+ too so here goes!!

I am contemplating SMART ALFA do a chip for the JTD that boosts from 150 to 180 BHP it's 499 but need to check out consumption figures for that too.

Thanks for the welcome anyway!!
Romano.

Angel Tuning do it for a lot less than that!

Welcome aboard.

From what I've seen the JTD is still pretty quick.

Re: New member

Afternoon,

I'm new here too, and have had my GT for just over a week now. I still smile every time I look at it.. sorry, her

Mine has the connect+Nav thingy, but I'm still waiting for the disk etc. so haven't played with that bit yet, but I'm actually looking forward to washing her this weekend! (I haven't washed my mondeo this year yet, and I've never hand washed it)

Cheers
