Just got myself a Spider V6

Hi All,

I picked up my Spider at the weekend and I'm chuffed to bits. Shes a Black V6 24V with tan leather and in my opinion is in excellent shape so far. Shes fitted with 18 inch wheels and a full Autodelta exhaust including manifolds (glad I didn't foot the bill!).

If anybody knows anything about the car, good or bad I'd love to hear. AV52 TUO is the mark.

Cant wait for next years annual trip to the south of France as I can fit more wine in this one for sure!

Thats the one and a pretty good review of the car. Id spotted that the rear spring pans were suffering a little corrosion but nothing a little maintenance wont tidy up and prolong their life. i actually got a good deal on my part ex and paid the rest off. Im sure the dealer made money but even at 5500 its a lot of car for the money. Everything else seems genuine about the car and it seems like shes been nursed through life which is good for me. She will be kept in good order but will get used everyday.

Someone else mentioned they were looking at either a TVR Chim or a Spider, me too! I wasnt brave enough to venture into TVR ownership. The Spider has got a lot more going for me and its intended use as I do like driving off in Europe and she'll cover miles at a good rate. Before I set off though on any extended journey I will be getting the oil cooler replaced as the pipes are a little cruddy and the cam belt too.

The seats in the car are super spot on now after a full treatment of gliptone clean, condition and degrease.

The 18s are a little crashy but heck I like them!

I should add that Andrew and Toby were both really knowledgable about Alfas and genuinley had a passion for them. As dealers go, and ive exchanged money with a lot over the years (much to my wifes annoyance) they were a real pleasure to do business with from an accurate review of the car in their advert to a polite and professional service at their facility.
