Hmmm Re: Wanabee

OK, thanks for all that (I think ). I would love the sports wagon, but as yet i haven't seen one with low milage / age within my price range.

As for my hairier brother, he's handy when you need to know someone with a spanner. But his latest choice of vehicle (car is too small a word) is not my idea of sensible transport. And, as for the good looking one..........? Why would i ask myself?

Re: Wanabee

Hi Fraser's brother. Welome to AO.

I think you should go for a 156 1.9 JTD Splurtclaggon. You just might have to wait a while for the right one to come along.

Sorted.

Re: Wanabee

I reckon you lot are about as mad as a box of badgers.......I think I'll fit right in (once I get the car to subdue my rampant gealousey ). Things are looking quite encouraging at the moment. My less good looking, but already Alfa owning brother (Fraser) has sent me a rather nice 156 2.0 TS Veloce ad. which just qualifies on the top side of my budget, but with only 15K on the clock has to be a real contender (all I have to do now is hope I can get my cash sorted before it's sold and narrows my choices again). Also, thanks to Lynn and Mr O, your comments have made me re-evaluate the whole Deisel/Petrol debate and not limit myself too much. My fixation came from the car before the Multipla which was a Fiat Stilo JTD which I loved, but as the missus kept pointing out, it only had three doors (can't say it bothered mee too much, but I was a bit less active in getting our youngest in to the baby seat).
