I think I now understand - New Alfa Owner

Hello I have purchased my first Alfa a low mileage 04' JTS and after driving many cars over the many years I now understand the attraction of Alfa's the 156 is a stunning car, beautiful to look at and drive, and an amazing place to sit in. However I don't really need to tell all you that, however true to the reputation of them being amazing cars to drive are they also true to the reputation of being glichy and I am already justifying repair bills to myself in the first week of ownership, that being the following:

Cam belt, Water Pump, and Variator replacement
Water leak (from Water Pump)
Motor control system malfunction! (god knows)
High speed resistor failing, (boge repair my by me)
Sweaky Wishbones

Anyhow I keep telling myself that the above problem with my Alfa are pretty standard, so after a booked and expected very expensive visit to Day and Whites next week, I am hoping to have a pretty reliable car.

And now that you're here: allow me to draw your attention to the Folding at Home initiative (Please join the AO Folding@Home Team!) some of us AO'ers are involved in. Maybe you can spare us a few CPU cycles

Whatever you else do: enjoy your stay!
