Yet another Newbie!

Hi all

As the title says yet another Newbie here!

I've joined having recently purchased a 12month old 147 with all the trimings and just know that there's a wealth of knowledge to be explored on here!!

Now wipe your mouth after that little vomit and prepare yourself for the pictures!

(don't expect anything drastic - Just wanted something dramatic to say!)

Mine is an orange, yes orange, 1.9 16v M-Jet with all the gizmos and gadgets I could wish for and the super sport alloys and I couldn't be happier!! A superb buy (even though I say so myself) and I look forward to many happy motoring miles with it!

Like I say - pictures to follow if you're interested!

Welcome to AO, and yes, would love to see your pics
But as far as I'm aware "Orange" is not a factory Alfa colour.... it's got to be an after-market paint job

Re: Yet another Newbie!

Well, thanks very much guys for the very warm welcome. Much appreciated.
It is the pergusa orange to answer your questions. Not after market!

Not the most popular of colours but hell I like it!

Many apologies for the delay - Pictures WILL be posted to night with out fail!

Thanks again.

CARLOS Fandango!!

The orange colour in question has been introduced on the 147 when she was facelifted.

Re: Yet another Newbie!

Thanks guys! It certainly grows on you! I wasn't entirely convinced about the colour but needed a car desperately and had wanted a 147 with the spec it has for ages! So thinking the colour wasn't THAT bad I got it. Now I can't keep my eyes off it!

Thanks for the opinions! Appreciated!

Re: Yet another Newbie!

Yes, 'Unique' is an apropriate word!
Hope it'll be even unique-er after a couple of small additions - for example the leather gaiter for the gears stick and hand break doesn't match the quality of the seat leather so really I have no choice what-so-ever but to get some better ones!

Maybe a TI spoiler!???? Or is that going too far?? any ideas?

I think i have recently seen you cruising up the M1 heading into leeds in the morning rush hour (cant be many 147`s like yours!), if it is you, that is a seroiusly awesome car, looks like its been lowered aswell (?)
Cool car man!

Re: Yet another Newbie!

Hi Cragmaz!

Warm welcome to the site and thanks very much for the comments!

Alas t'was not me you saw. Not been out that way in my Alfa yet! Only had it a few weeks and the novelty is far from wearing off!!

Irritating to think that there are other orange lovers out there!! (not you Mr. Orange! we all love you!!) Don't want to loose my individuality!!

Funnily enough I'm currently looking at suspension kits as my next purchase! Any ideas?

Hope you find AO as useful and friendly as I have. I'm certain you will!

Nice car btw!!
