soon to be 156 owner

hi all, currently waiting for tuesday to test drive a 1999 v plate 156 twinspark in silver. The car is showing 65k with full service history and cambelt change on last service.

Not normally selling alfas the garage owner who is selling made the mistake of buying with a knocking sound coming from the engine and took to his local mechanic who refused to touch it.

So after a trip to the local alfa garage and a full engine and gearbox rebuild (with all receipts to prove) the engine sounds rather nice.

Anyway just waiting to test drive now and trade my picasso in and enjoy driving a real car again

Not Happy Re: soon to be 156 owner

bought the car drives like a dream but is leaving a wet patch below. Seems the person who rebuilt it is'nt very good with alfa's.

Had a mate check it out and theres oil coming from the right hand side where all the pulleys and belts are. Gonna call dealer tomorrow to get it sorted. Oh and he also found the exhaust is blowing which i didnt spot.

so will keep you posted how i get on fingers crossed only had the car a day and already love it
