Hi everyone, new Alfa owner here!

I'm Sam and I'm 23 and just about to finish uni. I have almost certainly got a job lined up after, so I said to myself, that Alfa on ebay looks a bargain...hmmm maybe I should buy it!! And I did! Here are the details..

Alfa 164 3 litre 24v manual in metallica blue.

45 000 miles!!!! Can't beleive it's so low.

L reg. Super model.

I paid 1000 for it with 12 months mot!! I think that is a bargain really. It has a scratch on the drivers door but I will get that sorted out soon.

Unbelievable engine sound! I love it to bits, the Italians know the meaning of SOUL.

I got into Alfas when my uncle ( it's always a dad or uncle eh! ) bought a 164 3 litre in the mid 90s. I remember him opening the throttle on a long duel carriageway and just couldn'y beleive the power and sound. Ever since I've wanted one.

Before this I had a Capri 2.8i, and whilst I'm sure many of you will laugh at this, Capris are great fun to drive and the bad handling is part of the fun!!

Anyway I'll get some pics up soonish. Anyone else in the Birmingham area? Is there a meet up anywhere?! Coz with the Capri club, there were so many braches throughout the uk and they had pub meets every month or so.

Alfa GTV V6 2.5 litre
Black, Red Leather, Aero Kit, 6 Speed, Teledials
Wizard Quad Exhaust - Sound Clips here and here and here

Welcome to alfa ownership!

My brother used to drive a 2.8 capri a few years ago, mch maligned (both the car and him for owning it) but fantastic fun.

I'm sure your better off with an alfa though. If you're not hooked already, you soon will be

Hi StrangeHighways and welcome to AO

I'm sure you'll have hours of fun with the Alfa, and I wouldn't laugh at your love of Capris - to me their a bit of an icon of the seventies and early eighties and I love them. It's my 20 year old son's ambition to own one one day, so you're not alone!

Re clubs, I'm not aware of any in particular, but you could try joining the AROC, they've definitely got a Midlands section. Also, their are a drives and meets arranged by members of this forum up North which you may want to get involved in. Unfortunately they always seem to be too far away for me, but you're practically there anyway!!!

Anyway, Happy Driving
