Hi all.

Hiya all,

How are ye??

My name is Damien and I am from Ireland. I don't drive yet because of the crazy insurance prices in Ireland at the moment. But I do get to drive my Dad's 2l 147 from time to time. I can't wait to get my own Alfa sometime.

Damien.

Hi Damien, hope you enjoy AO

If insurance is a real problem, you could try what my son did and maybe go for a classic car, maybe one of the classic Alfas. He loves driving and passed his test when he was 17, but just couldn't afford the insurance on a newer car, so he got a Riley Kestrel - looks a bit like an Austin 1100, but with a fancy grill and a very nippy 1.3 engine. As it was a 1960's car he got classic car insurance for about 300UK when he was 18 and drove that until he could afford something a bit newer (Although even now he also has a classic).

I'm sure there must be some classic Alfas out there which would fit the bill.

Good luck anyway

Hiya Lynnb,

Thanks for the reply. I wouldn't mind a classic Alfa they would be nice but not sure what to get would a GTV6 but insurance again would be the killer.

Any suggestions welcome.

Damien.
