I think I'm about to become an Alfa driver again.....

it all ended in 1998 in New Zealand where we shipped our 1991 33 16v and eventually sold it...while there a 1976 Alfasud had also brightened up my days.......

returning to the UK with children meant teutonic reliability offered by VW not the service bills offered by Alfa..... thereafter followed a 132000 mile 5 cylinder Audi 100 Avant....that brought on Audiphilia and an A6 avant 6 cylinder tdi followed....

An old family friend has recently passed on and his 129000 mile, one owner, garaged nightly, 1991 33 1.5 ie is on offer.....

Am I insane to consider it?

Re: insanity?

Id go for it - it would be a pity for a car that was in the family for so long to end up in the hands of some boy racer.

Re: insanity?

well if it's going for nothing but remember there are many better alfa's out there now that also go for next to nothing and offer very good reliability
