Hi from Staffordshire

Hi All

Picking up my new steed a week tomorrow - havent actually seen it in the flesh yet but put a deposit down over the phone as its nearly 200 miles away and the dealer is putting a fresh MOT on it for me.

The car is a beautiful silver 2002 156 2.0 TS Veloce sportwagon - its done 130k and I need to get a cambelt on it as soon as I get it home but otherwise it looks fabulous - in the pics anyway !

The signs are good - 4 matching dunlop tyres, HPi clear, 4 owners, full history and I have given the seller a checklist of everything I want confirmed working before I hand over the balance of the dosh.

However given the distance involved and the fact it will be newly MOT'd I'm sure it will be coming home with me even if there are a few niggles.

Car history - well this will be my 24th car, first Alfa - first italian car of any marque in fact !

Look forward to the inevitable steep and expensive learning curve thats on its way

Thanks for the welcome guys - counting down the days now - roll on next Saturday

Lucky to find I have an Alfa specialist on my doorstep too - Italia Auto Parts is about 1 mile away - will be booking in for a cambelt change as soon as Ive got it home and given it a thorough check over.
