Long time 155

Hi all my first post here. I've owned my 155 sport pack from new in '95 I understand it was one of the first widebody 16v. I can't part with it, I love it. Appart from the engine which has died again after only 58,000. Ho hum.

Is a 2L 16v from a 156 a straight forward swap?

Cheers

Re: Long time 155

Hi welcome to AO

Engine from a 156 should not be too hard to swap.

What is it that has broken in the engine again? cambelt and head failure?

hi Nikov.

I think it's a twinspark and should be a straight swap. You want Hoygaards opinion on this one and it might be worth posting in the 155 lounge.

Thanks for the warm welcome chaps. I've thought about a V6 and there is a 3.2 GTA available localy out of a 147 with only a few hundred miles on it (it's been in a ditch).

My engine has had a head failure again, 3rd time, I think it's trying to tell me something .
