Just a quick hello

I have just purchased myself an early 40th birthday present, a 13 brand new Mito 1.3JTD Sprint for my daily commute up and down the A3 (Emsworth to Guildford). Only my 2nd morning to work but loving it.

I might be considered a bit old for a Mito, but we do have a sensible weekend car. I bought my wife a new B-Class last September as we have a toddler and another one on the way so she need something that was easy to load kids in and out of, this is also our weekend car.

I was driving a Smart For2 CDi for just over a year as it was getting 75mpg and was only for me, but it was a hard ride and I felt quite vulnerable in it on the A3, especially is there was a cross wind. So I started to shop around, the Fiesta on paper looked the best buy (although the dealer was useless) but as soon as I saw the Mito in real life I knew that was the one and the test drive did not disappoint.

Drew and his manager at Meridien Milano in Portsmouth were the best sales team I dealt with in my few weeks of research and test drives (I tried Ford, Seat, Merc, VW, Skoda, Fiat, and Citroen). I was nearly put off by another Alfa dealer who shall remain nameless!

Any way just wanted to say hi and if any fellow Alfa drivers on the A3 see me, give me a wave, I am in the Black Mito with a smile on my face or singing along (badly) to the some random track.

Look forward to contributing the community where I can.

Hey you're not too old I bought a MiTo when I was 49 and loved it - two years later I have a 946 Spider - call it a mid life crisis if you like but hey who cares so long as you are happy driving it which I am sure you will be

Welcome to AO keep on enjoying your MiTo
