i have used alfaowner.com for info on problems, and of course saves lots of time even u are a mechanic with diagnostic platforms!!!
i have owned alfasud..ivory 1300 sc..great little car..took me to work every day in 87 in the worst snow i can remember...
also owned a super nice giulietta think it was an 86 model also in ivory color.
both purchased from british car auctions both low miles and super clean..
main dealer p/x.
also a rusty gtv cant remember year but 80s horrible,,sorry.
4x 156 ..v6 x2..1600..now 57 plate 2.0 selespeed tspark..
yes imported from malaysia ...boat carrying them caught fire and they were all salvage..
a few of these around..was brand new but built 05..
my wifes from new..steering rack failed at 1000 miles...the warranty was crap..after market warranty,i phoned them and no joy.
got in touch with ar uk and after phoning local dealer got a two year warranty..great..had rack sorted free ( nice drink to service adviser who sorted the warranty)..
no other problems apart from tyres were no good as i think went hard in storage?..
fitted 4 new after 2 years ish,,sorted.
recently airbag mil lamp on..
found passenger head load code.found dissconect on orange plug/yellow wire cover.(yellow plug/yellow wire is o/s) these are in same place together.
in boot offside behind carpet panel adjacent fuel inlet.
cable tied together sorted ,,code cleared on own then,,mil lamp out,,
but i removed the code from ecu and whilst thier checked all systems..no codes.
found these wires mentioned on this site and others.
these connectors are problematic on lots vehicles so well used to sorting them.
looking on net saves time looking around for connnectors as it gives u an idea where to look.
anyway..if any members need help on diagnostics i have two platforms which cover most things..email me if u need help.
