Let me start off by apologising for my fair share of criticising Alfa's over the years. I never drove one due to all the "stories" of being unreliable, expensive to maintain etc and spreading the same stories.... looking back I think it might well have been Jeaslousy more than anything else as few cars look as good on the road as these cars....thinking GT in paticular.
So I met a Girl 3 years ago who's dad had over 17 alfa's to date. needless to say there were lots of opinions thrown to and fro over braais, drinks, pool games etc.
Today that girl is my wife and a year and a half ago she sold her BMW and bought a 2011 Alfa Giulietta while I decided to go for the new KIA cerato KOUP.
man oh man, I wish someone would just steal my car so that I can go and bu myself an Alfa as well.
every so often we swop cars for about a week, this week exites me more than the week I get paid my salary. Where in your life have you ever driven a car that feels like it has it's own personality and feels like it wants to play with you like a jack russel puppy while driving though traffic, making quick work of long open roads and a sound system that rivals most german manufacturers.
I am in ab****e AWE of this little car and now consider myself privileged to have been able to experience such PURE DRIVING PLEASURE......
The most interesting thing about it all is that I only recently noticed that whenever another afla comes from the opposite direction, they'll sometimes flash thier lights at you in acknowledgement of your great tase in cars.
I don't think I'll ever buy another again....
