Re: :: Welcome Patricia ::

Hi Marco,

I'm affraid to say but Porto doesn't have the best colours during the day. Not anymore anyway. Drive north... the colours are better that way.

But... don't drink and drive (not much anyway). Besides... Grolsch is THE beer. Sorry

P.S. 1 - get a laptop with wifi inside your Alfa.

P.S. 2 - I don't think we've saw before any piccies of your 156. You're welcome to share them with us.

Re: :: Welcome Patricia ::

i will
let me wash it first ehehehe
with all this fires it lost its natural colour. its more light brown than black.
but ill take some pics.

Hugo, ur from Oporto? I need to check the engine, and i cant trust Alfa official garages anymore. The prob is that i think i need to change the fase variator (variador de fase) and i dont want to put my car in the hands of a lousy shoemaker.

Regards

Hi Marco, about the shots, have it washed before I know what's like having a black car...

I'm from Porto, yes (actually Maia). We should meet one of this days. I could check the fase variator for you... how many kms does your Alfa have? If you're going to change the variator you have to change the belts too.

Have you ever been to Mundauto, Rua da Piedade (close to the Capa Negra 1)? Go there, tell the lady who's in charge (Miss Sofia - short hair, red hair ) that you're coming recomended by me (Hugo Sá). They will help you. They do a great job.

If you want I can pop in on that day and we'll meet there. Just tell me when you want it.

Re: :: Welcome Patricia ::

great, im from Maia also
i live in Maninhos... but i just go there to sleep and eat (and its not always eheheheh)

100000km and couting...slow
i need to change sparks, cam belt (its the right name for correia da distribuiçao?), and probably brakes. discs and pads.

some guys recomended to go to Coimbra. there is a guy that is a master with Alfas...but i dont know... im a little chicken when working on the car.
do u know the guys from DM? they remap the car according to my specs. more torque, more speed, etc etc.

btw, i added u to msn

ps: sorry Patricia for using "your" thread this way eheheheh

Know that perfectly. You don't live in that huge green block, do you?
Probably we've already saw each other on the road...
Look for a black 147, 25-xx-TT

If you haven't changed (ever) the cam belt (sim, correia da distribuição), balance shaft belt and tensioners you need to do it ASAP! 100000 is tooooo much!

Don't bother to go there. You can have a good service here, with warranty.

I know the guy from DM. He's an amateur. My advise: don't put your car there.

No problem. Even if 90% of the time I don't use it and the other 9.9% I'm busy.

Oh nice, that's more quiet there.

"Well, it was a lovely fresh Sunday morning near SPA..." "...Then I drove back to Portugal with my baby." Nice story

Seriously, the remap was made by Jano (Mr AD in person) when we were at SPA Francorchamps, April 2003.

Hi Marco and welcome to AO. Man your car is a living proof of Alfa's reliability! 100000km without changing timing belts must be a record
