Alfa newbie

hi all,

After 6 years of being a German car sheep I've finally have summoned up the courage and passion to move over to a 2009 automatic 159 1.9 ti, with 38,000 miles on clock. I feel like a big kid waiting to open a Christmas present; the only problem being that I'm knocking on 40 and have to wait until 2nd Jan to pick the car up!!!

I'm seriously annoyed that I didn't do this earlier - the car is just simply awesome!!!!

Friends think I'm mad taking the risk, but I'm hoping I prove them wrong.

I just wanted to post to say hi to the alfa community; here's to hoping that this will be the best car I've bought yet!!!

159SW TBi

I picked up my 159 TB Ti sports wagon 2 weeks ago. Took some getting used to after my 156 1.8TS SW - much heavier but soooo much quicker!

I thought the 156 was pretty but the 159 is a stunningly beautiful car. The engine is tremendous - so much powerful so low down the revs, A few too many too many gadgets and flashing lights for my liking, but I'm sure I'll get used to it!

So happy - as I'm sure you will be too!

Collected the car today from Stoke on Trent - it was a great drive back to Sunny Redhill!

You were right, I think I'm gonna enjoy this car a lot.
