Wave Hi All!

Born again Alfa Owner back for more punishment! Bought a nearly new GTV back in 2000, loved it to bits even though it kept helping itself to my wallet. Family came along and we needed a sensible car which would carry more than a pair of shoes. Several sensible and not so sensible cars later my Wife's car was due a change and for very little money... looked at Vectra, Mondeo and Nissan... yawn. Sub 1000 most were shagged or on their sixth or seventh Trogg ownership karting rugrats to and from the law courts. After several years of giving grief to my Brother-in-law about the depreciation on his 156, I found myself searching sites and noticing a pattern with Alfas for sale.. One or two owners... full history... much loved... etc... etc... And so we are the proud owners of a low miles, one owner, full history taxed and tested 2001 156 2.0 jts sportwagon with new bushes, cambelt etc.. for 500! Can't get that with any other manufacturer. Wife hasn't had a look in with it, convinced her that she needs to stick with my 4x4 during the bad weather, tee hee. I will be a regular on the forums and I have no doubts about the cost of running an Alfa. Good and regular maintenance seems the key to keeping an Alfa on the road and staying as far away as possible from main stealers. I am tempted to get either a 2.4 jtd or GTA for myself in the new year, shame Alfa don't make a 4X4 as we need one out here in the sticks and for towing. Don't see my Wife going for three cars as I already have too many bikes.

Hi, a warm welcome from the Lincs Mob !!!

We are quite an active little group here so it would be very nice to see you in the Lincs Lounge and at some of our Meets soon. Lots of these coming up, some great ones coming up over the next few Months.

Our next Meet is the annual masochists outing to Skeggy…. This will be on Friday 28th December. Follow the Link and see what’s on offer, frozen feet are one of the attractions…….. ! Do come along if you can.

http://www.alfaowner.com/Forum/linco...ay-no-5-a.html (Lincs Daytime Meet - Blow The Cobwebs Away No. 5.)

Our “ regular “ Meets are usually ( but not always ) on a Thursday evening and are scattered around the County and these are interspersed with our “ special “ Meets throughout Spring, Summer and Autumn. We always have a lot of Events during the year, some of them are just Beer and Chat type things but a lot of very special ones too, we don’t get bored here in the Flatlands. Keep an eye on the Lincs Lounge for full details. As the nights are drawing in our Meets will mostly be daytime ones until about April time.

Early in the new year we will be having our annual Scalextric challenge at the superb Scalextric Centre near Spalding, a fantastic afternoon out for all the family.

Electric Tracks Presents, Scalextric Racing

You might want to add your details on to the “ Names, Locations and Cars “ Thread too, I generally don’t do this unless people “ask “ in there, don’t wish to give away any secrets !

Follow the Links to see what is going on and join in, I can pretty much say that you won't regret it. Apart from myself everyone else in the Lincs Section are very nice people.........

From the Lincs Lounge also follow Links and see what we have been up to in the past, some cracking Meets and some great pictures.
