New Member - looking for an Alfa (i think!)

Hi All,

Name's James and i'm new here.

I just joined up as i'm thinking about buying my first Alfa. Need a family friendly, economical, comfy car which will do a 50 mile daily commute in comfort and return around 50 mpg.

Thinking about a 156 1.9 jtd multijet sportwagon, but happy to be convinced otherwise if there's a better option?!

As is the case with all possible new alfa owners i'm worried about it falling apart. should i be?

What to look out for?

159 2.4 JTDm

It won't fall apart, well not any more than any other car of that age. However I don't own one but have read a little about them. I did consider a 159 but bought a GT. No reason other than it came up first.
I do about 12-15 miles each way to work and get about 44mpg in the Summer from my 1.9 JTDm GT. Half motorway half A road with plenty of traffic lights.
Welcome BTW
