Well hello there!
Whilst I have been a member for some time, I have never really had the need to post at all but I have greatly valued everyone else's experience and information in the forums. Having purchased my first Alfa at the ripe age of 25 (not sure what took me so long to be honest, mainly insurance prices) I have learned to enjoy every aspect of the car - and I am definately a driving nut, so this car ticks all of the boxes.
By driving nut I mean it isn't the be all and end all of my life, and I can't hold a conversation that doesn't revolve around cars, but no matter what other stresses or distractions you have in your life, receiving as much feedback from the road that this car gives makes me feel centred and completely focused when I get out. I honestly feel that I'm a better man since driving her! Now I truly understand the sheer untangiable allure of what is, quite reputably, a dodgy car from the continent.
My experiences so far is that the above statement is not only entirely inaccurate, but most likely originates from people that have 1. never owned an AR, or 2. have listened to those who expect to not have to take care of theirs (or bought one from someone who didn't)
I had to replace the original
factory battery recently. enough said. Just before hitting the publish button, I have literally touched every bit of wood around the house, and even the sycamore and garden shed have had a hug this morning I assure you.
So here's to my '04 plate 156 Veloce 2.0 JTD..... to the missus - a car that can have a seperate 1000 degrees kelvin passenger side and a James Dean style cool driver's side, and to me; the most beautiful car in the world
