I'm Frederic, 25 years old, from Belgium and I've bought a 2004 Alfa Romeo 147 1.9 JTD Distinctive near the end of May this year. I've joined up to be able to use and contribute to the vast wealth of knowledge there is to be found on this forum.
The Alfa isn't my first Italian car, as my first car was a 2000 Lancia Lybra SW 1.9 JTD 105. After this I had a 1994 Lancia Dedra 2.0 Turbo HF with digital dashboard. After that I had a 1998 Land Rover Freelander 5 door 1.8i and a 1997 Nissan 200SX S14 2.0 Turbo. After my Nissan was sold, I started to search for an Italian diesel again to replace my thirsty petrol Freelander. After seeing some badly looked after Lancia Lybras, I came across my Alfa 147, a 2004 1.9 JTD 85 kW Distinctive model with 165.000 km on the clock, red leather seats and in really good shape. As soon as I saw her, I just had to have her.
I'm extremely pleased with the 147, very comfortable ride and also good fuel consumption (average over 3400 km about 5,5 L/100km). She has 16 inch Veloce (at least I think they are) alloys with 205/55r16 tyres and this sunday I will be picking up a set of standard 15 inch alloys with winter tyres to keep her (and me) safe and happy during winter.
So there you have it, a lengthy introduction, yet I hope a good one.
