A newer Alfa for me
Having been a GTV owner for a few years, the time came for me to get a newer model, although my hand was forced by the fact that the engine died
So after spending a weekend going round garages with an open mind as to what to buy, I found myself drawn to the local Alfa dealer, as my GTV was a great little car.
We test drove a Mito first, and decided it was just a tad too small, so then looked at a Giulietta 1.6 Veloce. Nice car but the 2.0 170bhp Veloce was more appealing, so we took that one out too.
After a discussions over a pub lunch we all decided that the 2.0 Veloce was the way to go, but I wanted red, and there weren't any available within the Alfa network anywhere in the country!
I thought about a black one as an alternative, but didn't really want any other colour. So I borrowed my son's Clio for a couple of weeks to see if a red one materialised, and the very day I was going to contact the dealer to order the black one, he found a red one, so I ordered that one instead (very impulsive)
After a slightly longer delivery time than I expected I finally picked it up on Friday, all polished and shiny.
The boys in the family are already talking about Brembos and mapping it, but the one modification that's already been done is carbon fibre front grille - arranged by Mr W before I picked it up - it looks class
I love everything about the car, I just need to do some reading to find out what I need to buy to use the sat nav connector with a non Alfa Sat nav!
