Hi guys, I am a new member and I am looking for help. I have owned several (3) Alfas previously but none with the L Jetronic FI. I just bought an 83 Spider to restore and it was running fine during the test drive, but the first time I drove it for a longer time it started bogging down and and getting very weird. I called a local guy and he recommended a new water temp sensor and make sure the air box flapper was working. Done and done. It ran great, problem solved for about a half hour of running then same thing. I am beginning to suspect the cat converter. So my questions are can a bad CC cause very poor running, and what if any are the negative effects of removing the CC and replacing with a straight length of pipe?
