New Alfa Spider 916 owner!

Hi all, wanted to introduce myself as a new spider 916 owner! Already been using the forum to search about alternator issues as mine packed up two hours into journey home from picking car up for the first time from garage! Not a bad introduction to Alfa ownership! So a week into ownership and car awaiting alternator from Italy!

Mine is 2000 grey TS,lusso pack and 35k mileage so in great condition (and yes Cambelt changed as part of deal)


Ps first two hours of driving it before the car broke down was fantastic, so looking forward to getting back in it very soon.

Welcome and I have just joined the Gtv guys with a project 3.2Gtv.

I have a friend in Swindon breaking a Gtv, so if you need any bits let me know.

Welcome, though not a great start to ownership. If it is any consolation my Spider has been perfect but my GT, needs wishbones, anti-roll bar bushes, drop links, A/C fixing and possibly a new EGR valve

Hello and welcome to Alfa ownership, that's a brilliantly low mileage, must have been someones weekend only toy.
I think that a fault of this nature that occurs within the first three months of ownership means that the supplying garage is legally obliged to correct it.

Thanks for the replies. I have a warranty with the car so cost will be covered either way and apparently you have 6 months to reject a used car if they can't fix or repair...will post pictures when she is all fixed

35K miles isn't very much, almost like new! Looking forward to seeing the pictures

I pick mine up tomorrow, Saturday Spider 3.2 24v 30k mileage 2004. I shall drive with care home, all of 50 mins and pray. Loving before I have even got it.
