GT Junior V8 Conversion
Greetings from sunny South Africa
I am new to this forum so please bear with me. I know the majority of Alfa owners will probably want to kill me for this but here goes - I have a 1971 Alfa GT Junior (originally a 1300) but are in the process of doing a conversion by putting in a Lexus V8 with the auto box. I only had to cut the firewall and tunnel and remove the steering box (replaced with a steering rack) to accomodate the engine.
The outside appearance of the car will remain unchanged and only the spedometer and other guages were changed with electronic ones.
Question - Has anybody attempted such a conversion before and will the diff (4.11 ratio) be strong enough for this?
