Am I the first?
Following the demise of my much loved 156 2.5 a couple of years back, I found myself doing insane mileages on the motorway so deserted to diesel ford territory.
Following a good year, Santa pointed me at an etna black Giulietta QV, 4k below list price and unregistered sat in the dealer's showroom. Love at first sight, even the girlfriend expressed her wish to copulate with it.
28 December, she became mine, 9000 miles in first 3 months, new heater fans, new wiring loom, door speaker, centre console trim panel and 2 ( yes 2) new windscreens. Love blossomed despite the classic Alfaness.
Look down and you will see what happens when you use a Giulietta to try to create your own exit from the M4! those barriers do their job. She is now in the care of the dealer in Exeter, estimate runs about £9000 so far!
Before you ask, cut up on slip road, dropped OSR wheel onto grass, half spun, smacking OSR wheel on concrete block at start of barrier, 540 degree spin the other way and absolutely square impact on barrier, coming to a rest facing the wrong way up the hard shoulder and virtually nose to nose to a terrified old boy in a Mondeo. I didn't get so much as a bruise and the airbags didn't deploy
So, am I the first to attempt destruction of a 2 month old Cloverleaf? A 39 year old ex squaddie in tears is not a happy sight apparently.
