156 1.6 bottom end guttless
hi there any body help with this problem i own a 2003 156 1.6ts now i understand that 16v are not renowed for there bottom end grunt but i just feel mines lacking up to around 3000rpm are there any ideas or mods that may help i was thinking to get it breathing better air filter exhaust etc, but have read that the standard air filter is difficult to improve on. Also i must add that i have the common diesel sound when the cars idling is this the dreaded variator problem and will a new one rectify my problem. also i have a noticiable flatspot at 2200rpm.
i have owned the car for around two years and have zero service history!!!! its never missed a beat and is a joy to drive still tight and responsive but am now thinking the time has come to chuck some money at it as she deserves it any thoughts.
