Wave Have I done the right thing?

Hey Guys,

"I've gone and bought an Alfa". Those were the first words uttered to my wife after returning from my recent test drive of a beautiful white 2009 2.0 JTDm 159 Ti Sportwagon. Having spent the last year with a 2010 BMW 318d, this purchase was definitely a case of heart ruling head! The Alfa has so much more soul than the BMW and looks so good that I couldn't resist.

I pick her up next week and will then be looking into Remap etc. to up the power a little.

First question - Is there an official Alfa dog guard mesh & boot liner available?

Second question - I am in Leics. Who is best for Remap in my neck of the woods?

An Alfa for an everyday car I bought an old 916 Spider one Sunday morning as it felt the right thing to do. A couple of months later the daily was to be changed and I thought (with help from my GF) a GT would do. Never owned a diesel up until then. I thought if it has to have a diesel engine it needs to make up elsewhere. It is not perfect (what car is?) but I am pleased. The only regret? Maybe I should have bought a 159 Enjoy your car and welcome.

The next few months will be the test of if you have done the right thing. If your 159 doesn't give trouble you will be totally besotted with it. If it does give trouble it will be like being married to a beautiful woman who has a bloke on the side.
