Hi! New 33 owner from New Zealand.

I'm visiting these forums to check them out, but I got busted for not posting an introduction here.
So.
I drive a bangy old Alfa 33 which only looks tidy from a considerable distance. It is my only car so it's a daily driver, doing at least 50km per day and often carrying work gear. I've had the car just over a year, and it's standard, unless you count useless air intake 'improvements'. It's on 1.7 motor number 2 after a cambelt tensioner failed cos I didn't know to get it replaced along with the belts.
I'm still trying to get the car to the point where I can say everything works... but it's like the donkey chasing the carrot I think!
Here are some pictures..

Re: Hi! New 33 owner from New Zealand.

Can anyone tell me why the first picture displays as a URL rather than an image? Does the image have to be smaller than some certain pixel dimensions or something before it displays?

Welcome again Ben

Nice pictures - the car looks a treat, and the backdrop looks pretty nice too. Thanks for that

I'm heading out your way next week - looking forward to seeing that backdrop IRL.

btw, I can open all of the pics, no problem

Re: Hi! New 33 owner from New Zealand.

Hi Ben,

Don't worry about not popping into this lounge first. Personally I'd rather see a newbie just jump right into the water and make himself a part of the community, which you seem to done really well. Lots of times we see people introduce themselves here never to return.

There are two picture protocols in this forum. In the image lounge you can link to images hosted elsewhere on the web and display them (embed them) in their full size and glory within the threads. In every other lounge you can either upload the photos the to AO server or just post a link which will take the viewer to the originating website. Since there are size limitations to the pictures on the AO server, people who want to display really large pictures just post a link. Hope that answers your questions.
