Went to look at the Veloce 220 mile round trip,
"A super example of this stylish Saloon" B@ll0cks
"no damage at all on the body work" ignore the rippled wheel arch and side skirts held on with WOOD Screws
"interior is excellent" there's silicon sealer holding bottom of dash on
"good mechanically with no major faults" thats not oil dropping on the exhaust then and making all that smoke then
"good service history, showing a cam belt change" 2 stamps in ten yrs with belt done 2007
I know a 10yr old car is going have some faults.... but my 150k 406 HDI is also 10yrs old and I never realised how immaculate it is till looking at that Veloce today. Well at least I now know what a tatty one really looks like
On the plus side I stopped by the dealer with the Lusso... was shut but the Alfa was out in the open... had a walk round, looked very clean, though the daylight was fading at the time. Worth a revisit in daylight I think..
I guess I need something in similar condition to my Pug to avoid feeling like I've taken a step backwards.
