after trying to slip discretely in and out of this site I have decided to come clean and introduce myself.....
My name is David and I am on my second Alfa. My first was a brand new 147 1.6 Lusso 3-dr, but now due to new family pending/arrivals I swapped it (literally) for a 18 month old 156, 1.8 TS. Both are/were Alfa Red. The 156 only has 7000 miles on it and in addition to having 2 extra doors on it comes with leather seats and I managed to get a set of 17' Supersports on Pirellis thrown in for £200. I thought it was an alright deal, considering my 147 had 14000 miles on it and was a year old.
So far so good..........The good points, it is quicker than the 147, amazing what 200cc will do but probably as thirsty (I have given up worrying about fuel), plus it looks great especially inside, it just looks better than the 147 inside IMO (sorry 147 people) and just last night at the petrol station, some old gut was so intrigued by it, he got out of his Nissan and came over for a stare. He couldn't figure out where the rear door handles were!!
The last bit for now - someone decided to run into my rear bumper at the weekend and drive off while I was in the supermarket. They have split my rear bumper.
Does anyone know if it is possibe to repair or will I hav to shell out for a new one and how much in general are they? It is only a small crack right above the number plate light but now I can't help but stare at it and it seems so obvious.
Other than that I love the car and thank God I went and bought that first Alfa and not that horrible Focus instead - why do people rave about them - it was horrible to sit it?!?!
Any help advice greatfully accepted.
