Hi all. I happened to come across this forum on Google today. After reading one particular 155 Q4 owner's unfortunate story at the hands of a tuner. I thought it would be a good idea to post a little about myself - not a mention do a bit of blatant self-promotion
I own a Fiat Coupe 16V Turbo (same engine as the Alfa 155 Q4), which I build, tune and map myself.
I also run a performance tuning and live-mapping service for Renault Clio Williams and Clio 16V community, which I've recently opened up to the Fiat Coupe 16VT (and 16VT-engined cars *including cars with 16VT engine conversions
*). This has been a success so far and we have seen some excellent results. Now I aim to expand the ‘business’ to other future-classic marques – including Alfas!
don't wish to turn this into an advert for my services (I'll post up a proper advert as soon as I can). So I'd just like to say 'Hi' and I look forward to working for you peeps in the future.
Here are aome brief specs and pics of my own cars:
Fiat Coupe 16VT 100% home-built and tuned. Last dyno'd @ just over 300 bhp. I'm currently running-in the engine after fitting forged pistons. Final figures TBA when I get the chance to map my own car!
Home-built Garrett T34 hybrid turbo T04e compressor, Cosworth 63 a/r exhaust housing
Fully rebuilt engine (home-built of course!). Tubular manifold modified for external wastegate
Home-built custom stainless steel 3" downpipe
My previous project: The UK's only fully homebuilt and tuned Renault Clio 16V Turbo conversion. 200.7bhp @ 8psi
Home-built (yes I like home-building!) custom manifold and downpipe
Finally, here are dyno results from a couple of my previous customers:
Fiat Punto GT with Coupe 16VT conversion 227 bhp/274 lbs ft:
World's only supercharged Clio 16V. 193bhp + instant wheel spin on tap!:
