Well fellow Alfa owners. I have been a 'Ford' man for years. All of the many new cars that I have purchased every 3 to 5 years over many years (I'm 56 yrs old) have been Fords.
In needing a second smaller car, I have fallen in love with the looks, features and drive of the Mito. Despite the concerns, problems and disappointments posted by some on here, I have this week ordered myself a Mito 1.4TB Multiair 135 bhp Distinctive, to be delivered in about 8 weeks. I am half excited, combined with a little nervousness about how shes gonna shape up.
I've ordered a Graphite Grey one and my biggest concern is the many posts on here about stone chips and reliability issues. Never the less, I've let that wash over my head and placed my order.
I look after my cars and keep them in pristine condition. I will find it very disappointing if the paintwork does not hold up to day to day general use. My three year old, flat fronted, bulging wheelarched, Ford Kuga in metallic silver does not have one single stone chip. My daughters 5 year old Citroen C3 in metallic silver does not have one single stone chip. mmmmm..........I wonder.
Not that the numerous Fords that I have owned didn't bring about their fair share of small problems and disappointments. Delight or dispair......only time will tell I guess. !! I'll keep you posted. Trev.
