I just bought an Alfa 147 Selespeed (second-hand or pre-owned if you prefer)
The problem is that I have never owned one before and and am feeling a little bit overwhelmed. I was so keen and to get one but now I am not sure if I made the right choice. It drives well and is in pretty good shape with a few minor things to be sorted out. I could be feeling nervous because now a lot of people are pointing out problems with Alfa that I had never thought of or heard about before now, for instance I hear that the aircon gives a lot of problems because it is not made for the South African climate or that it is very expensive to service, etc. I guess I am just looking for a few good Alfa stories to make me feel better
I've had many Alfa's over the years and have had very little that has gone wrong at all....
My Alfa 146 has no problems at all in 5 years, my first 156 had a coil pack go wrong, but that cost £50, I had that car for 3 years
My second 156 had to have new suspention bits done, but I got that for very cheap and had a small budget for thing that would need to be done.
All in all, I would say my 15 years of Alfa ownership has not cost me much at all (touch wood)
Just enjoy your new car
