156 JTS Berlina

The old and the new

Go by the name Billaege - which is kinda Danish although I am not. Got my first 156 in 2002 it was a 1999 2.0 TS, fixed and welded my way along for 8 long years until the fuel consumption, continued rust problems and lack of airconditioning encouraged me to change cars. Bought a 2.0 JTS Berlina (facelifted) and concluded this is the way the 156 should have been from the beginning. Am currently getting rid of the rusted lowered springs and replacing them with standard items as well as fixing the various niggles. Won't say that I am a fan of the brand, but I do love the 156, I have owned various cars in the past including 2 x Corrado G60, Golf II GTI, Scirocco II GTI 1.6, MR2 and an A4 to name but a few, but had never kept a car for more than 3 years before my first 156.
Hoping to have a less fraught relationship with the JTS, fingers crossed.
Decided to finally join the forum as I typically do most of my own repairs and the proportion has been steadily increasing over the years.
PS - I live in Denmark so high prices and rust are never far away.
