156 t spark

Hi - new to alfas and to here

I live in lincolnshire and at the tender age of 44 have just purchased a thirdhand 156 t spark and its not running well, but i will post elsewhere for that, and what can i say its like WOW.

We have had it for 3 days and its at the garage at the minute its like loosing the cat, no worse - the dog.

If i am like this after 1 day god only knows what i will be like in a years time.

I walked past this car for 2 weeks when walking the dog, thinking "nice - but 2 much for us"
Then the little rover had to go for an mot - or not!!!!! - she was over reving, rust on all the wheel arches, exhaust with a possible hole in the exhaust. She was a old J reg so has done us proud............. (you get the drift - for us and many others money is a little tight) so i called in to have a look at the alfa.
88,000 miles, no body work arch issues, dent in the boot lid - hey its an s reg not an issue - interior lovely clean no tears in the upholstery, wooden steering wheel, and i hadnt even started it yet. AND I wanted it.

Started it and wellllllllllllllll.............................. - wanted it even more

fuel light was on, but most cars i have looked at have that, ran sweet as a nut.

So chat with the tank commander and she says get it

And we did ................................

Paid my money and drove to the nearest garage filled up and wouldnt start, back to the garage, worked for 3 days and now goes 5 miles and refuses to start till cold again.
So she is at the garage till wednesday.

But i miss her and want her back and working.

I never realised how stunning they are to drive
Everyone can keep their BMW's and Audi's from now on i will always take an alfa

Hi, a warm welcome from the Lincs Mob !!!

We are quite an active little group here so it would be very nice to see you in the Lincs Lounge and at some of our Meets soon. Lots of these coming up, some great ones coming up over the next few Months.

Our next Lincs Meet is a good evening out with a Classic and Sport Cars ad hoc display up at The Jenny Wren in Susworth on the 10th May. There is also the Spring Alfa Day at the Imperial War Museum at Duxford on the 17th April. Usually a good Event and this year all the more so as we get the Cars onto the site itself. Not only do we have the Cars to look at but also all the things in the IWM too, should be a great day. Take a look at the Links for both these Events. Might throw an Evening Meet in between these as well. Try to make them if you can, check out the Links for the details.

http://www.alfaowner.com/Forum/linco...-wren-2-a.html (Lincs Evening Meet Classic Cars And A Jenny Wren - #2.)

Our “ regular “ Meets are usually ( but not always ) on a Thursday evening and are scattered around the County and these are interspersed with our “ special “ Meets throughout Spring, Summer and Autumn. We have a lot of Events coming up again during this year, some of them are just Beer and Chat type things but a lot of very special ones too, we don’t get bored here in the Flatlands. Keep an eye on the Lincs Lounge for full details.

You might want to add your details on to the “ Names, Locations and Cars “ Thread too, I generally don’t do this unless people “ask “ in there, don’t wish to give away any secrets !

Follow the Links to see what is going on and join in, I can pretty much say that you won't regret it. Apart from myself everyone else in the Lincs Section are very nice people.........

From the Lincs Lounge also follow Links and see what we have been up to last year, some cracking Meets and some great pictures.
