Help Hi everyone

Hello everyone. I've very recently bought myself an R reg T Spark 1.6 with a little four leaf clover on the back, and it had only done 53000 miles! It's got a couple of dings and pings, but nowt a bit of Tcut and some elbow grease won't get rid of I suppose! It's a metallic burgundy red colour, and I would like to know how much I should be paying for a service and timebelt/variator change...I've been quoted upwards of 540 by some garages where i live (South Glamorgan), but seeing as I don't know much about the cost I thought I would ask you experts on here for some advice first. I was told it had to be done by an Alfa Romeo specialist, but they're the ones that are quoting me more than my life savings! Any advice would be greatly appreciated. Thank you! ps...the car's a dream to drive, and it has A RADIO in it! My last car (Nissan Sunny) had a coded radio, but the battery died within a week of having it, knocking out the coding, and the guy I bought it from had moved to Germany, so I've spent the last 8 and a half YEARS without ANY music in my car whatsoever, so I'm LOVING the music right now!

I'm ill-placed to comment on prices for servicing... Maybe better to get yourself over to General Alfa Discussion - Alfa Romeo Forum

Enjoy your stay!
