Back in an Alfa and it feels gooooood ;0
I'm back in an Alfa after a 12 year defection to BMW and VW, (via a couple of old Vespas! ) I picked up 2001 156 TS 1.8 yesterday, and the bug has bitten agian already!
I found this site as I was looking for general 156 info, and it seems to be a good place to get the help I know i'm gonna need, if my previous Alfa ownership experience is anything to go by! Build quality seems to have improved since the late 70s early 80s Alfas I owned before though. I had a trio of Suds; a 1.3 ti, a 1,5ti, and a Gold CloverLeaf. Also an 83 Sud Sprint Green Cloverleaf, and my favourite Alfa which was a 1972 GT 1600 Junior. They were all a labour of love to keep together and I was reminded of this on the trip home from the seller of the 156, as the sunvisor fell down obscuring my view! It seems this is a typical problem... never mind!
I've still got some good Sud spares lying around in my shed, which i'll be listing as soon as I get round to de-cluttering sufficiently to find them. There are lots of pieces of trim, light clusters etc, and a late 70s MK 1 Sud Sprint grill with a chromed heart, which must be almost impossible to find these days. Look out for those in the spares for sale!
Nice to be back behind the cross of Milan!
