...or as a mate said, He ain't heavy he's my Brera!
To explain the title, the second week of owning my beautiful Brera I started her up and forgot that the CD player was still on so AC/DC's "Whole Lotta Rosie" blasted out of the speakers right at the chorus. Being a sad old rock geek I took this as a sign and decided she was telling me her name is Rosie. Having just watched 'Christine' a few weeks before hand I'm looking out for any other weird "communications"!
I'm a pretty new driver altogether, passed my test 2 years ago in May, though I'm hitting 40 this year!! So a late starter but what a way to go! Got a Mini to practise whilst learning and loved it, they are great wee cars. Not feeling like I was ready to get some big saloon type, when I decided that I might be interested in getting something new I had a few on my shortlist - Honda Civic TypeR, Volkswagen Scirocco & Audi S3. I also had seen this amazing car which took me a while to find out was an Alfa Romeo Brera. This jumped to the the top of my shortlist but I didn't really think I'd ever get one.
I let the idea of a new car go for awhile but kept checking in on my shortlist and the Brera was always at the top so when I decided to get more involved I went to the Perth Alfa garage and started talking. The guys were great and got on the job to find me my dream car - and Rosie was found!
Almost 4 weeks on and I'm still in love. I can't wait to take her further than back and forward to work (Perth - Stirling) and got her valeted yesterday at a great place in Perth - Proclean - where I got Zymol wax and a machine polish as well as everything else. Hot damn is she sparkly! Speaking of which, the sun be coming out so I'm going to go get some photos!
Looking forward to my time in the Alfa Owner club and welcome all tips on getting the most out of my membership!
