Quite a few other low mileage examples (some longer in the tooth though). Are you deffo after a one-six or would you consider a 2.0ltr? The diesels are pretty good. I'd personally avoid a selespeed.
Back to belts - twin spark belts should be every 3 yrs or 36k (whichever is soonest) so even if the car has a belt change at 36k and it's now only on 44k, if the belt swap was over 3 yrs ago it needs doing again now.
Okay that's cool, good to know, yea I looked at the selespeed but again was told to avoid it. I was leaning towards a 1.6, no particular reason other than fuel etc, unless there isn't a massive difference in tax/consumption etc!
They just seem to be such good value for money compared to other 1.6 hatches, better looking, nice interior... heaven knows why I never looked more into it! Pretty good that I have a specialist, he said around £350 for belt change, which I think sound around normal?
