Hey Marissa, not a problem, I am sure we will catchup at the display then. What is your brother's name, given I know plenty of Alfa owners down here, I wouldn't be surprised if I either know him or have at least met him somewhere.
All going well, I think the display should be pretty good. From what I understand there should be a range of Ferraris, Maseratis, possibly a Lamborghini, plus hopefully plenty of Alfas, Fiats, Lancia ? plus Italian bikes/scooters. Likewise there will be heaps of Italian food, drinks, (coffee naturally), and cultural displays etc. Last years event was a lot of fun.
Push starting an Italian car, no way
Hi Starkers, for sure not a problem, will post more pics, and especially as the restoration gets going again. I am currently waiting on delivery of a replacement engine (an early series 1600) over from Melbourne from a mate. My engine was destroyed by Norm, using it in his Targa Tassie Giulia Super, when running his car at the Philip Island Classics a few years back.
I know what you mean re the colour combo for the Super. I have seen a few pics of this, and have a model of the Carabarini car. So, I think there is no option now, the French Blue is too bright and not for me. I will include a pic of the model, to give you the idea of what I have in mind. Perhaps though for regular use though without the siren/light on the roof.
I will take some pics of my other cars but need to get up to the lockup garage where they are stored.
Just for people's interest a few pics of some of my brother's vast collection of rust. One of his '60 Pininfarina Lancia Flaminia 2.8V6 coupe, his '65 Giulia Ti and then other non Alfas.
