Alfa Romeo Workshop

Hi all,

After reading around on the forum, I saw that most of you recommend the "Alfa Romeo Workshop" in Royston. So i said to myself it would be worth travelling 15 miles to meet these independent, friendly specialists. I would just like to say that this is trully the worst service I ever had... and I travelled around Europe for quite a bit.

First of all, not only is the receptionist impolite and unfriendly (an oppinion shared by a man who was also waiting for his car), but she has no idea what she is talking about.

Second of all, the "head mechanic or whatever he is" is the most arrogant guy I ever met. He was not even able to apoligize for their mistake or at least admit it...

Thirdly, the workshop is a mess!

Therfore, save yourself the time, money and nerves and go to some propper garage.

I tried to keep this as polite as possible as a friendly notice to all who think of using the workshop... Don't missunderstand me, the actual mechanic who was working on my car was nice, it's the head that's rotten.

Hi and welcome

I and a few others have recommended the indie garage that we use all the time but someone off the forum took their car there and had cr*p service so I guess sometimes it's a bit of a lottery.
Hope it doesn't put you off tho

Hi guys,

I'm sorry I did not reply earlier. All the AR forum e-mails were going to my spam folder. At the moment I am thinking on how to spend 1000 pounds on my alfa. As a first stage, I bought alfa diag and am looking at lambdas, error codes, etc to see what really needs replacing. Does anyone know the parameters of the lambdas (not pre and post cat) for the jts engine?

Then, I'm thinking of changing my dampers. My car is already lowered 3-4 cm with Eibach pro on standard dampers . And then, probably change the whole exhaust (post cat) as it's a bit rusty and get a nice backbox. It sound more like 1500 pounds but...

I guess this would have been a better intro but i was really ****ed with the Alfa Workshop!
