I can honestly say that it is all my old friend Miles's fault. It was he who suggested that I stop driving generic cars (Kia Carens) and buy something built with passion. So I did. I have just purchased a red 156 and will be picking it up Saturday. Being a keen biker I have had Italian machinery before and am aware of the fragility of Italian motorcycle electrics and the complexity of desmodronic valve trains however I am looking forward to living with my 156. I have been assured that it is a machine with character and that it will have a personality of it's own. It will, I have been told rekindle my love of driving that 30 years of plodding our road network in large lorries has killed. Do I sound skeptical?
I look forward to making new friends here and learning more about the car I have just bought.
