My name is Jamie and I'm an alcoho....wait, wrong forum, sorry!
Anyway, 'yes' my name is Jamie and 'no' I don't have an Alfa yet. Funny little word that last one.
I'm currently driving a Ford Fiesta 2001. I know it's probably considered by most of you fiery, passionate Alfa owners to be the dullest car going. Well, I've made a few changes to it liven it up a little. It started as a 1.25 Freestyle model with a blown headgasket and a wide variety of unknown evils lurking inside it's engine. For £50 I wasn't complaining...
Since then I've put a 1.7 Zetec from a Ford Puma in there, put some coilovers from my old car on and the Zetec S body panels. It's not especially pretty or fast although it beats your standard old shed which is the only other option £££ wise.
Anywho, I'm soon to be leaving university (hence to poorness
) and had my heart set on something special. I was going to go the VW route as I've always loved that sort of thing. While browsing through the wheel whores forum I came across this...
147 GTA with BBS CH wheels. I fell in love instantly...
So here I am, a new member learning the Alfa way. Although I love my Ford (when it goes wrong you can fix it with spare change in your back pocket) I cannot wait to buy my first Alfa.
Over the coming months I'll be gathering cash, sorting out where I'm going to live (I come from Guernsey so this Uk business is new to me) and finding myself a nice GTA of either 146 or 156 flavour.
