Well Happy Newbie from Norwich with 147

Hi all.

My name's Matt and I bought a 2001, 147 1.6 lusso last week to be my daily drive. Bought it with all the usual problems, variator gone, sticky gear selector to name but two. Will be sorting the variator out as my first priority and taking it from there.

Body work is a little scruffy but Rome(o) (bet that's never been done before ) wasn't built in a day so one step at a time and she'll get there.

Been searching the forum and found lots of good info so far but thought I'd better say hi incase I have any daft questions to ask. I've got a bit of mechanical knowledge as I'm modifying a Nissan 200sx so I hope there won't be too many.

Cheers for reading

Thanks for the welcome. I've found the tech section and the search button too so don't worry, I'm well trained and will check there before posting as I'm sure most things will have been covered before.

The 200sx - At the moment engine mods are induction kit (air filter), turbo back exhaust with double decat, upgraded wing mount intercooler and a boost controller with the boost upped to 12 psi from the standard 7 - will up it more once the wing mount intercooler has been replaced with a nice shiny front mount.

Aim is to get it to stage 1 which is circa 280 bhp and then see where is goes from there.
