Apprentice Alfa Owner

Hi there, I am going to be taking delivery of my first Alfa in the new year. Its a 2007 159 2.2 JTS Turismo in silver with a brown cloth interior. Hope I dont miss the leather! I haven't seen it in the flesh yet either so I hope it lives up to my expectations. It has 16" wheels so I will wait till I see it before I decide to upgrade to anything else.

Previous to this I have had 2 mondeos, 3 volvo c70s, 2 saabs, an espace, a zafira, a fiesta, 2 honda accords, an escort, two orions, a fiat punto, a ford sierra, a rover 820, a volvo 850 estate, a nissan primera, a bmw 3 series, a vauxhall astra, a vauxhall cavalier and an audi 80coupe, not necessarily in that order. I think that's it!

I also have a mock 1920's racer that I built (with no kit - designed on the hoof), from a triumph base, which was a big challenge. It even won an award at a local vintage car show! I have just had it out for a spin in the snow on a nearby disused runway, which was a laugh.

I had only had my last car, a mondeo, for 3 months when I was hit by someone in a VW van going too fast in the snow and it was written off. Airbags and side impact beams really did their job.

I usually find it exciting to look for a new car as you can tell and I put my heart and sole into my research. But as I had done it only recently, I wasn't really in the mood.

So I hope I have done the right thing in going for the Alfa. I'll let you know!

Hopes and Fears

Hi Folks, thanks for the replies. I am really excited now - I realised just how bad the dealers photos are! I had a look on google images and this is a sexy beast. I can't wait.
