Chilling Hello

Hey everyone !
First I wanna thank everyone who contributes to this forum. It's been a invaluable source of info.I've been around here for years, but never joined.Guess I never had much to say..I'm kinda more into harleys, but smashed mine up in the summer.still waiting for the insurers.
I've got a lovely '96 GTV TS for years now.Well, lovely is a bit exaggerated-she's got a massive dent behind the drivers door, and the other side doesn't look too good either. The rear suspension link arms squeek on the rose joint bushes, and the rear shocks are shot.I have a lovely set of ten spoke 18" that keep rubbing on the inside of the wheel arches when I do a hard left at speed. There's this thing that sticks out on the inside of the wheel arch at the back-i wonder why it's there.I think it doesn't help that the rear right spring is all rusty and I guess too weak. The bottoming out thing has rusted away long ago, leaving only the rubber thingy to dance around inside the spring! The thermostat has gone ****-up weeks ago and it's boody cold inside let me tell ya.Am getting tired pullig out this cardboard from front of the radiator every time I hit the town traffic.I've just ordered a new one,a Vernet make,I hope they ok.The variator is happily rattling away and she's in dire need of new cambelt.74 thousand miles and counting! It's been apparently changed around 45-50 by previous owner, but the exhaust cam seal has been leaking ever since he got it!Go figure.I've never trusted the bloke anyway.I just hope she wont fall apart before I get my hands on 400quid for cambelt&variator change! Other than that she's gorgeous and I love her to bits.Wouldn't change her for anything, even though my girlfriend hates it and calls her 'red b***h'.She preferred the beaten up ibiza I had. Anyways,I hope you all ok and happy holidays!
