timing belt failure please help

Hi all unfortunatley my beloved Alfa is poorly I broke down on the Motorway today and thee aa man has diagnosed Timing belt failure ouch.
my question is does any one now if the engine is a invasive or non invasive as this will dramaticaly reduce the cost of fixing. My Alfa is a 156 1.6 t spark 04 reg

Invasive (otherwise know as interference).
If it is a timing belt failure, you will definitely have damaged valves, and may have damaged the big ends. Sorry

Sorry to hear about the belt failure, if its too much of a job then replacement engines are cheap enough now and would probably be the best option Hope you get it sorted
