Wave Hi from USA... 8C owner!

Ciao to Everyone,

So happy I found this forum, there is so many good info! Here in the US we are patiently waiting for their comeback! I would love to have a Mito or a Giulietta as a city car!

I'm proud to be a part of the family!

Best,
Greg

PS: Here is a pic of the cars!

Hi Greg, good to see you have a nice sense of self as well as taste...welcome aboard. Obviously excellent cars there if but similar platforms yet inherently different in their own ways.

8C is a very nice car to drive and love it to bits. Of the 2 I would prefer the 8C, not because I would classify myself as an Alfisti so much as its just such a different car.

I totally agree with you! For me they are completely different even though they share alot! Personally, me too, I just love the 8C, it is something unique...

Welcome Greg to AO. Good to have a transatlantic perspective! As a matter of interest, how do people react to Alfas in general and the 8C specifically in the States? They've been absent from the market for so long...!

Hi Greg, I saw your gallery images before approving and wondered if you would post them up. I am also interested in your response to this.

I can tell you that when I drive the 8C I get so much attention, you couldnt even imagine! The attention you get when driving a California or a Granturismo S is nothing compared to the one you get in the 8C...

The other day I parked outside of a resaurant to have lunch with some friends and when I came out there was a group of like at least 20-30 people around the car looking in taking pictures...

Actually there was only one young guy who knew everything about the car... Here the new generations lets say from 16-30 don't know Alfa as a brand, maybe some have herd of it but the vast majority has no knowledge... Instead when people of an older generation like 40 and above see the car they all love it and say they hadnt seen one for at least a decade...

Plus once one older guy told: "Wow! They are back, and how they are back! This is the best thing I ever saw on 4 wheels!" I totally agree with him! The 8C is the best looking car, and the sound it creates is simply amazing!
